In this day and age, our children come into contact with toxins now more than ever. Which is why it is so important to gently detox them regularly.
Toxins are everywhere; the air we breathe, our food, medications we take, hair and body products, as well as the water we drink. Toxins cause irritation, harm and destruction in the body over time if left alone.
Our body gets rid of toxins by filtering all blood through our liver. The liver collects toxins and changes them into compounds that exit your body…while using the bathroom or through sweating. Many other organs are involved as well, including your skin, lungs and kidneys.
Our body’s natural detoxifying systems are efficient until they’re loaded with toxins–then Our body will not detox properly on its own.
Because our body stores toxins in the liver, nerve cells, brain and fat cells, toxic overload in children can show up in many ways:
-Muscle and joint pain also known as “growing pains”
-Irritability, also known as “tantrums”
-Digestive issues “mommy my tummy hurts!”
-Headaches “mommy my head hurts!”
-Allergic reactions, such as hives or stuffy nose
-Cold and flu symptoms
Any of these sound familiar? They all have a whole new meaning, now don’t they?
It is recommended to detox your child gently regularly! If you notice any of the symptoms above, it is definitely time for a bath detox!
Who should not do an Adult Bath Detox?
Pregnant and nursing women
Individuals with impaired kidney function
Individuals with serious infections
Individuals prone to fainting
***It is recommended to drink plenty of water before, during and after a detox bath. While in one if you start to shiver, feel dizzy, or faint get out of the bath immediately. As always check with a medical professional to see if a detox bath is right for you.***
